About Amara and Sara Pagano
Amara and Sara Pagano are devoted students and teachers of the 5Rhythms Dance Practice. In their workshops and On-Going Groups, they invite students towards living life more fully and loving life more deeply. Amara and Sara’s work combined offers a teaching that extends beyond their individual reach. They support each other in effectively bringing groups of students into tangible and satisfying connection with themselves and with the world. Their work emerges from their own personal story, unfolded in the dance, and is a unique perspective on living and loving more fully through all of our relationships.

Amara and Sara created Waves Studio, in Olympia, Washington, as a physical and spiritual home for the 5Rhythms. Waves Studio has become a large and diverse learning community of people dancing and living the 5Rhythms, practicing, through the dance, living life fully and loving life deeply. Amara and Sara are committed to articulating the value of the 5Rhythms, and specifically the results of becoming a physically present body, an embodied heart and an engaged mind. In this body of work, we define the soul as just this; body connected to heart connected mind, all in motion.

This is soul work, and Amara and Sara, together with the Waves Studio community, are delivering the possibility of an embodied soul, recognizing beauty and cultivating love through personal presence. The 5Rhythms, at Waves Studio, with Amara and Sara, is not just something to experience once and move on from; our work is about life and lifestyle, about living and loving, about becoming wholly ourselves, and offering the gift of ourselves, in service, to all of humanity and the world we live upon.

Amara and Sara have created pathways of involvement for students to come into relationship with the physical and spiritual path of the 5Rhythms. Their work offers pathways that lead to On-Going Groups. These On-Going Groups are learning communities that allow connection to a group of people living and practicing this work. In these On-Going Groups students become leaders in their own lives by engaging the monumental task of fully being themselves, and bringing the gift of themselves into their lives, touching people with the awesome and irresistible power of physical presence, love and creativity.
Sara about Amara Pagano

Amara Pagano was born to teach this dance practice. She brings warmth and compassion to her teaching, but most of all, Amara is a living example of the results this dance practice offers students. She is physically and emotionally present, and clear in her mission as a teacher. Her devotion to her students’ own freedom in their bodies, hearts and minds is immediately apparent, and her commitment to her students’ discovery of their own dance of life is transparent. People instinctively trust Amara as she guides them into deeper connection with themselves and the world. Amara has been teaching the dance and 5Rhythms internationally for the past eight years.

Sara Pagano is one of those rare people who is able to listen beyond what is known and see unknown possibilities. She is a visionary who has fallen in love with the work of the 5Rhythms, and has dedicated her life to bringing this dance practice to the world. More importantly, Sara has discovered her own dance, her own body in motion, and she has taken this off the dance floor and into the world. She is very creative and passionate in sharing both the discovery of the dance and the possibility of living the 5Rhythms as a physical and spiritual practice with her students. Sara first stumbled onto one of Gabrielle’s dance floors fourteen years ago, and has since been blessed with exploring and sharing this unfolding dance of life.
